- Design: Iconic and timeless, with the translucent green and black striped pattern on the barrel, which allows you to partially see the internal mechanism or the refill. It is a world-renowned design.
- Body (Barrel): Made of cellulose acetate using a complex manufacturing process that creates the translucent green and black bands. This material gives it a characteristic shine and a luxurious feel.
- Cap and Details (Trim):
- The cap is made of precious black resin and features the engraved Pelikan logo.
- The decorative rings and clip are plated in 24-carat gold, giving it a shiny and classic finish.
- The clip has the traditional "pelican beak" shape, a hallmark of the brand.
- Mechanism: Use an international standard rollerball refill (or G2 refill, such as Pelikan 338, Parker, Schmidt, etc.). This makes it easier to find ink replacements.
- Balance and Weight: The R400 is a rollerball with a compact size and light weight (thanks to the materials, especially cellulose acetate and resin), which makes it very comfortable for long writing sessions and to carry in your pocket.
